Rinse the mussels under cold water and place in a colander. Allow to drain. If there are mussels that are open, remove and discard them.
In a pot, heat 3 tbsp. of olive oil. Add the onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until it softens.
Add the garlic, chili and bukovo and saute for 1-2 minutes.
Add the tomatoes, salt and freshly ground pepper, lower the heat and simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes.
At the same time, prepare the pasta. Fill a large pot with 5 liters of water and cook on high heat.
Once the water starts boiling, add 35 g salt and the MISKO Macaroni No3. Stir with a fork and let the pasta boil for as long as indicated on the package.
While the pasta is boiling, add the cleaned mussels to the pot with the sauce. Cover and allow the mussels to steam and cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring the pot occasionally. Remove from the heat, uncover and discard any mussels that did not open.
Once the pasta has boiled, strain the pasta and reserve about 60 ml of the water. Put the pasta back in the pot where they boiled with the water, and add the sauce, mussels and 2 tbsp. olive oil and stir gently.
Serve immediately sprinkled with chopped basil.
