MISKO products: a Greek driving force and support to national economy for 84 years
With 84 years of presence in every Greek home, the history of MISKO, the strongest brand of pasta in Greece, evolves hand in hand with the history of the Greek family. MISKO products are produced exclusively in Greece, in two state-of-the-art facilities in Volos and Thebes, and their production constitutes an active pillar of support for the national economy in terms of both absorption of domestic agricultural production and creation and preservation of jobs in regional Greece.
The wheat mill in Volos has received over 750,000 tons of premium-quality raw material from selected Greek producers over the past 10 years, and grinds about 200 tons of wheat in 24 hours, producing top-quality semolina for MISKO products. The 3,000 tons of MISKO Risoni that take their place at the traditional Greek family table every year are produced in the state-of-the-art plant in Thebes, which has produced over 500,000 tons of pasta in the past 10 years.
With sales over 55 million packages every year, MISKO products are a leader in the Greek market, they have notably penetrated foreign markets and enjoy a long-standing recognition by Greek expatriates. The strong and long tradition of MISKO also leads the growing export activity which, in recent years, has brought more than 50,000 tons of MISKO products to the neighboring markets of the Balkans, but also to countries such as France, Germany, the US, Canada, Australia and the distant Japan.
Behind this successful course lies the traditional philosophy of MISKO, which returns in practice the added value of the precious capital of Greek qualities to Greek producers as well as consumers and society as a whole.
