One of the most favourite short pasta shapes, different from the others with the hole inside, and the first position to your preference! The shape looks like the rosary bead. It is particularly popular among children. Used mainly in soups with meat or vegetables, in yiouvetsi, with red sauces and in fasting recipes (e.g. octopus).
