The diet of modern man

The stressful and intense rhythm of the modern man, combined with low physical activity and poor diet, is often the reason for the occurrence of many conditions, from simple fatigue and discomfort to major cardiovascular diseases.

The “vulnerable” part of the body of a man is mainly the heart, blood vessels and the  prostate. So to protect such functional tissues, he should target each dietary  intervention and changes in dietary habits.

The basic diet of modern man should be guided by principles of the Mediterranean diet. So digestible and regular meals, daily intake of seasonal fruit and vegetables, use olive oil as main fat, consumption of whole wheat cereals and of course the frequent consumption of fish (at least twice a week) are the main principles to be observed
