Iron and Pregnancy

Iron is recognized as necessary for the creation of red blood cells. For a woman who thinks about pregnancy, it is very important to have full iron stores (iron can be stored in our bodies), to minimize the risk for iron deficiency, during pregnancy.

This requires a diet rich in iron and factors that help to its absorb, but certainly  settlement of problems that may contribute to a large loss of iron.

Reliable sources of iron are red meat, eggs, and then legumes and dark green leafy vegetables. It should be noted here that the consumption of liver, which is certainly a  reliable source of iron must be avoided during pregnancy, because is rich in vitamin A,  which may create problems and even more elimination.
